About

Hi, we're Bryce and Colette and we're thrilled you are here! As pastors, we've counseled countless couples over the years from our home church. However, God has started stirring our hearts to take our ministry outside our church walls. Our prayer is that you will find the tools you need to build a lasting marriage and peaceful home.

NICE TO MEET YOU

Our Story

We tied the knot in June of 1995 and started our family four years later, with kids making their respective debuts two years apart. Bryce was a special education teacher when he felt the call on his life to be a pastor. I also knew he was called as I confirmed the tug for ministry. And so, after waiting for God’s perfect timing, we loaded up our little family and moved to Oklahoma in 2004 for both of us to attend Rhema Bible College. Upon graduation in 2006, we began pastoring in a little town south of Oklahoma City.

Bryce continued working as a special ed teacher while I decided to go back to school to finish my music degree. My story through these years is documented in my book, Planted, as I dealt with high anxiety and panic attacks during this time.

After five years, we knew it was time to move back to South Dakota, and we took over a little church on the prairie, four hours from where we began our story. Timber Lake wasn’t the place we would have picked for ourselves, but God always knows best. We finished raising our kids in the little town of 500, and continue to minister as the pastors of New Hope Church today.

Although we enjoy living the country life and know we’re where God wants us, we also have the desire to reach people beyond our little quiet oasis.

Satan has set out to destroy the family unit. Marriages are struggling, and parents are stressed with how to raise their children and teenagers in a godly way contrary to the opinions of the world.

We haven’t done things perfectly, but we’ve experienced what works and what doesn’t in our own family as well as those we have counseled. Our mission is to help you fulfill your roles as husband or wife and parents.
